Jay-Z has announced a new deal with Duracell and Powermat. The hip hop mogul will be a spokesperson for "Wireless Power Nation," which is a new phone charging system that will be used in public places. The system is to be installed on tables and bars in eateries, gyms and clubs.
It is already available in the 40/40 Club in New York City.
Patrons at restaurants and other establishments will be able to charge their phone by placing it on the table. The same technology has been used on the Chevy Volt.
