President Obama famously referred to hip hop superstar Kanye West as a 'jackass' back in 2009 when Yeezy was in the middle of a PR nightmare following his interruption of Taylor Swift at the VMAs that year. While that moment was a candid remark spoken off-camera, Obama reiterated his stance during a brief interview with the Atlantic this week. Obama says he's more of a Jay fan than Yeezy, but he did praise Kanye. "Smart. He's very talented," Obama said, before someone reminded him that he once called West a jackass. "He is a jackass," Obama said with a smile. |
