Rapper Young Vito turned himself in to police today (December 26) for his suspected role in the shooting death of fellow Atlanta rapper Slim Dunkin, born Mario Hamilton, after an argument on December 16th. The altercation reportedly stemmed from an argument over a piece of candy.
Vito, born Vincent Hardimon, surrendered to police around 3 p.m.
“We got a call from Mr. Hardimon’s attorney. They wanted to turn themselves in to me personally,” said Detective David Quinn.
“We did get some cooperation from witnesses but we’re still urging the public, whoever was at 1074 Memorial Drive on Dec. 16, to give us a call,” Quinn said.
WSB in Atlanta reports that Hardimon was free on bond, following a previous arrest for pulling a weapon on two women in April.
